Following continued growth across our lease advisory and valuation teams, we are seeking a motivated General Practice Surveyor to join our team and develop their career within a supportive and dynamic environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will assist senior colleagues in delivering a range of lease advisory and valuation instructions while developing their professional knowledge and technical experience. You will gain exposure to a variety of property types — including retail, industrial, office, and community assets — and work directly with a wide mix of clients, from local authorities and housing associations to private investors and occupiers.
Key Responsibilities
•
Support the delivery of rent reviews, lease renewals, and regears, including inspection, measurement, and comparable research.
•
Assist in preparing and submitting valuation reports in accordance with RICS Valuation Global Standards (Red Book).
•
Carry out property inspections and prepare accurate site notes, measurements, and condition assessments.
•
Undertake market research and maintain comparable databases to support advisory and valuation work.
•
Draft reports, heads of terms, and correspondence with guidance from senior surveyors.
•
Build and maintain good working relationships with clients, tenants, and professional contacts.
•
Contribute to team discussions, sharing market insight and ideas to support business growth.
Required Skills & Experience
•
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a general practice, lease advisory, or valuation environment.
•
A relevant RICS-accredited degree (or equivalent).
•
Strong interest in progressing towards RICS qualification (APC) — full support will be provided.
•
Good knowledge of commercial property markets and basic understanding of valuation principles.
•
Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and willingness to learn.
•
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•
Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and able to learn property databases or valuation tools.
•
A full UK driving licence is desirable.
